Hello Friends!
Last summer I started a little series about Flea Market Finds and I thought I would continue it this summer, since shopping at the flea market is one of my favorite things to do :))
You can find an example of last summer's finds *HERE*
I was so excited to find this fabulous "chippy" door at the flea market last weekend!!
...and the best part is, it has not one, but two cool sides...
I can decide which side to show depending on how I have the room decorated :)
Oh, and that great vintage New York crate with the dried prairie florals in it, I got that from Lisa over at The Frenchman's Wife...I showed you her booth at the flea market last year. Well, she just opened up an amazing new shop in La Grange, IL. I was there last week and snapped a few photos and will share those with you in a few days!
I love using cubes of Savon de Marseille soap around the house, they are like little works of art :)
And on a different note, I am busy tucking small bundles of fresh lavender here and there around the house as it is now in bloom in my garden...
As always, I did seal the door by brushing on a coat of matte finish, water based polyurethane {available at most hardware stores}
Have a wonderful day!
BTW, which side of the door do you like best...the green and white or the blue??? Just curious...

The door is beautiful! Both sides are lovely but if I had to choose, even though I love blue, I'd have to go with white and green coz it really stands out in your current room decor.
Decisions, decisions! So nice to have options! I would go with the blue for the summer, matches your enamelware pitcher, then switch it to green for fall. But really, you can't go wrong! Nice find!!
Beautiful photographs! And the door is lovely - both sides.
I'm voting for the blue. I just bought an old ice cream maker in a similar blue and I'd love to find a door like yours. Gorgeous any way you display it!
Two for the price of one, that door is great!
You are right...both sides are wonderful. It is no surprise though that I would opt for the blue if I had to choose...being the blue girl that i am! :)
Love the door. I have been trying to find a great chippy door. No luck yet, but I will keep looking. I love lavender, It does not grow to well in Alberta. I have to purchase a new one every year and treat is as an annual. I absolutely love the smell. Your house must smell wonderful.
Oh Tracey, your door is FABULOUS!! I'm partial to the blue side, but both are wonderful. It looks so good in your room with all the whites. Love the old crates too.

That door is beautiful! What fun:)
My lavendar is blooming too - I need to get some cut and brought in my house. And I love that numbered towel - I will have to put it on my Christmas list.
Love the door Tracey! Both sides are wonderful! I'm partial to the blue...but that's just my choice.
My lavender is coming in also.
Gail, from Where the Moon Sleeps, sent me some of the soap blocks...just because....I love them.
Your house is awesome, as always!
Enjoy your day.

Oooo...I love the photos of your room :) For me, it's the blue side of the door. I wish my family would let me put lavender everywhere but I'm the only one who thinks the smell is divine :(
Smiles, dianeM
That is one cool chippy door, which I just added to my "Cool Chippy Doors" Pinterest board!
I'm w/ Rani, although either side is great, the green stands out just a bit more w/ what you have going on in the room. You have inspired me to get 2 of my old chippy doors sealed and displayed in the shop...thanks for that!

Oh you lucky girl Tracey!!! That door is to die for!!~
I love the blue side, but what a fabulous color on both sides.
Your house looks just beautiful, and I really like your sofa with the vintage French linen on the back. I saw these in your shop and I so wish I could buy one right now.
Hope you have a lovely week and thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog!
Sincerely,
Melinda
I've been on a search for a gorgeous door like that forever!! It's perfect having the two different sides to switch out. I would definitely go with the blue and white for the Summer but the green color will be perfect for Christmas and Spring. How fun!
What a fabulous door, Tracey! Such beautiful colors on both sides...hard to choose a favorite. It goes so well with your summer green & blue accent colors. Flea markets are my favorite activity too! You always find amazing things! Enjoy your new chippy door:)
As Always - YOU have the BeSt Taste!*!*!
Lovely pics...

What a wonderful find Tracey. The door has a perfect patina on each side. I'm always a big fan of blue, so I especially loved that look. Your living room looks so comfortable with all its' vintage charms. The French linen sheet is amazing, too!

Love the door and my favorite side is definitely blue!
Lucky find, Tracey.
Just the perfect shade of pale green/aqua chippy paint too!
Love Lisa's things.
Can't wait to see her new spot.
Have a lovely summer!
Hi Tracey
You probably could guess which one I'd choose....yeah, it's blue for me! Beautiful find.
Your finds are fabulous. But the way you set things up makes the entire scene look so charming!
Hi Tracey, I always get som happy when you come to visit !! Thank you so much for your positive feedback, it means a lot to me! I hope you know that I am a fan of yours also :)) I visited your blog yesterday and walked along with your photos to Brygge. I was there many years ago, and I was entranced by the beautiful buildings. It was a bit expensive for a poor student but oh so beautiful :)
The Lavender is in full bloom here also, it must be one of the loveliest flowers that can be found don`t you think? The scent is so good ! I can imagine it smells wonderful al over your house now, with small bundles everywhere.
Wish you a happy summer Tracey !

Hi all World historical events,Android apps tamil news,World news on android Breaking news for iphone
Tracey, I love your find! The door is wonderful! I always have a weakness for architectural salvage, especially doors. Like last year when my mother-in-law took all of us girls out for a Christmas shopping day to find our own presents ( the actual gift was the fun day spent together!) she couldn't believe it when I picked out a pair of old doors for my gift!
I love both sides but I think my favorite is the blue! That has to be the best blue color of all.
I hope you have a wonderful day,
Maria
Green and white would be my choice. I love the savon de Marseille soap and the little bunches of lavender, my lavender is still in bud so I shall have to wait a while before I can pick it.v
Your pictures are gorgeous Tracey!! I"m going to go and read more....I saw a fabulous margarita recipe I want to explore!! haha
I love the blue side of the door! What a great find!
Have a *fancy* day!
Jenna
Fabulous find in that cool door, Tracey! I love shades of green and white together, so the green side would be my preference.
I'm currently hosting a "french-inspired" giveaway at my place and would like to invite you to enter.
Blessings,
Liz @ The Brambleberry Cottage
Both sides are wonderful, but maybe the blue because it seems there is more of the blue paint. Or maybe it just strikes me more today...tomorrow could be different! Nice to have options, huh?
Hugs,
Judy
They are equally delicious!
Happy Summertime, Tracey!

I vote for the blue! Shabby perfection for sure.
Blessings & hugs,
Karen

Love the door! I'm wondering what brand of matte polyurethane you used on it. I can't seem to find anything other than satiin or gloss. Thanks!
Hi Tracey, I love your old door and your lavender photos. Just lovely! Love Linda x

Oh my...I adore your door..I have been looking of one just like that. Hope you are well...hugs. xoxo
HI Tracey~~ Your home is always such a place of inspiration for me. It is stunning. I have to say I love the blue side, but of course everything i have is blue:)
Hope you are having a great week
~Cheryl
I love both sides but right now, I am really digging the blue side! As always, your home is lovely.
Difficult to say which is my favorite side. I kept scrolling up and down once I read your question. Guess it would depend on my mood that day. LOL
Lovely post!
Love the door. I really can't decide because both bring out different things in the room. The green blends more and the blue stands out more. Hard decision. Lovely post. Thank you.
The door is just incredible! I love it....
